TEN POINT Deduction? Empty
PostSubject: TEN POINT Deduction?   TEN POINT Deduction? EmptyThu Aug 20, 2009 2:54 pm

Was thinking a bit about the TEN POINT DEDUCTION today, and started to get agitated.

Surely this really is the WRONG was to deal with clubs going into administration. It's obvious that Southampton Football Club has been seriously mis-managed by a number of EGOS in recent times, but as they disappear off into the sunset with their tails between their legs and a little bruising, EVEN MORE DAMAGE GETS HEAPED UPON THE FOOTBALL CLUB, and THE FANS.

Surely there must be a better way?

What do you think would be a more appropriate penalty for going into administration?

Is it now time to have some specific rules regarding how a club is run financially - like being forced to function within the revenue it generates?

If a club wants to build a new stadium, they must generate the money, or find a sponsor beforehand?

In short, NO CREDIT.

Perhaps this alone, should be the penalty carried by clubs that go into administration. Effectively BLACK LISTED and forced to function for three years - paying everything UP FRONT, so that they cannot get into trouble again.

Because they have shown an inability to cope with credit - take it away from them.

This way, the penalty would fit the crime.

To punish a club on the field of play for affairs of it, just doesn't seem right.

Does it?

Suggested by 'Channon' on 606

Rules for ALL!

1. Borrowing only allowed as a percentage to income.

2. Income to mean gates, tv money and sponsorship only.

3. Board members to join a commitee where guarantees of conduct and responsibility are signed.

4. Yearly sustainability checks for all clubs before registering for new season.

5. Tax and customs checks to pass before new season.
