Saints were really poor against QPR. I think confidence took a beating too.

I know Saints have been rescued from a money point of view - but from a football point of view, things still look desperate.

Things DO look desperate, but I am pretty sure that Alan Pardew didn't commit to managing a League One team without Markus Liebherr giving him every indication that the only way was UP UP UP.

I think what we are seeing is the inevitable shake up.

Players have to leave before new players are brought in I suppose.
Otherwise we run the risk of having too many unemployed players again.
Can you imagine bringing in two strikers, and then not managing to get shot of Rasiak and Saga?

It seems strange though, that we couldn't offload John, Rasiak, Saganowski or Euell for love nor money last season, and now there is no end of interest. It's the 'one season to go before a Bosman' scenario, I guess.

Yeah. But Saints have already lost a number of players, and only Harding has been brought in.
Plus the loaned players have gone, and they were the best of the bunch.

It's not like shopping in a supermarket LOC.

There is only one of each product and you have to fight others for it.

I think the biggest problem Pardew must be having, is getting players in their late 20's, resign themselves to TWO years in League One, given that we start -10 this season.

Surely players would prefer to play for a PROPER football club though.

I think the term commonly used is - BIG FISH in a LITTLE POND.
The problem is not with the big fish, but the little pond!
