| Southampton could be set to miss out on the signing of Radhi Jaidi after learning that the defender may struggle to obtain a work permit.
The Tunisia international looked set to became Alan Pardew's latest summer signing after agreeing terms and passing a medical.
It was revealed that the 33-year-old, who was released by Birmingham this summer, may not receive clearance to join Saints as he has not played enough international matches in the last 12 months.
Pardew revealed the deal was not definitely dead and that club officials would make a decision on the next course of action. | |

| I would think Jaidi has an excellent chance on appeal, if he only missed the club match requirement by 3 games.
He could have missed games through injury or suspension, which means he would have qualified on merit. | |
