Saturday's defeat confirmed what we all suspected - Saints aren't in need of a strong centre back - then are in need of two! And two central midfielders also. Not just any old midfielder, but two players capable of bossing a game of football.

To win a game of football, you need to win 7 out of 11 one v. one's. The reality, I fear, is that Saints aren't yet capable of going close to that on a consistent basis.

I can't believe I was at the play off's for the premeirship so short a time ago and on the evidence so far it will be league 2 next season
