Would like to see Saints play 4-2-3-1

Davis
Murty, Thomas, Perry, Harding
Mellis, Schneiderlin
Saga, Lallana, Holmes
Lambert

Stick to a 4-4-2 imo. The Dutch duo tried that and the players (apart from Lallana at times) couldn't cope technically. I think we should line up like this.

Davis
Murty - Thomas - Perry - Harding
Thomson - Schneiderlin - Mellis - Holmes
Lambert - Paterson

With Spiderman holding back, it will allow Mellis to push forward and show us some of these one - two moves with Lambert and Paterson that the youtube video showed us. Thomson might be young, but I think he is worth a shot over James this evening, he's a lot quicker and we'd do well to test out all of our options down the right wing at the moment.

Actually like the look of both line-ups. Good balance.
Wouldn't mind seeing Mellis charging up and down the right.
No slouch and already works box to box.

Good news regarding Hammond.

Davis
Murty, Thomas, Perry, Harding
Mellis, Schneiderlin, Hammond, Holmes or Mills
Lambert, Rasiak

Just need a striker to replace Rasiak when the inevitable happens, and a central defender or two.

Hammond won't be playing tonight I would think, needs to train with the squad before first team action (that is if we wrap up the deal anyway!). Mills is injured still as well, so it will be Holmes or Lallana down the left flank. I've got a sneaky feeling AP will opt for Lallana again, rather than an unfit Holmes.

Forgot all about Lallana!

WOW What an embarrassment of riches we have!

Wink

Appreciate that Hammond won't be playing tonight, Mat.
I was just getting excited about future prospects, like you do.

But back on topic - Swindon Town

Reckon we might just pinch it with a late one from Lambert tonight.

Davis
Murty, Thomas, Perry, Harding
Lallana, Mellis, Schneiderlin, Holmes
Lambert, Rasiak

Back four picks itself at the moment, midfield is shaping up, and will stick with Rasiak until he goes to Swansea.

1-0 down after 9 minutes. Poor marking. Same old!

This really is starting to be a simple men and boys issue for me.

We're fielding young lads still learning, rather than competent professionals.
Simply no RESPONSIBILITY being taken.

And as for Thomas. BALL WATCHER - not a good habit for a central defender!

No PRO-ACTIVE players in the team.
Just re-acting to what the opponents are doing, and always too late - instead of dictating.

Kelvin has just saved us again as I type.

Davis to the rescue again, and James clears off the line.

Every Southampton player back in the box, and Douglas still gets his shot off!

Wotton and Paterson off.
Gobern and Saga on.

About ten minutes too late I reckon.
Might pinch a draw, but the win is surely beyond us with so little time left.

Well that was a bit of shit result wasn't it?

The goal we conceded looked so awful on SSN, where the hell were the bloody defenders!

Please AP, do something! I can't take the stick from my Exeter supporting friends much longer Sad

This is SO frustrating, Mat.

I cannot believe they are getting paid for the level of incompetence they are consistently delivering at the moment. I know the tide will turn for Saints, but desperate to feel good again. And unfortunately, whenever we seem to get a bit of momentum together, the players simply KILL IT!

Nobody is enjoying this LeagueOneChamp.

It's going to take time. Try not to worry so much about things out of your control. Just support the team.
Liebherr has a 5 year plan to get back into the Prem, so things ARE going to change.
